Characterised by intelligent design, Central South Yarra features in a successful line of high quality, boutique Hickory construction projects for well-respected developers Little Projects. A residential tower with ground level retail spanning 30 levels in Melbourne’s most cosmopolitan location, Central reinvents modern living by maximising space and outlooks from every angle.

The exterior architecture by Rothelowman features a striking gold band that runs down the entire length of the building’s facade, and the private residents’ rooftop retreat boasts unparalleled 360-degree panoramic views of the surrounding neighbourhood and city skyline.

Featuring one and two bedroom apartments and luxury penthouses, Plus Architecture’s sophisticated interior design emphasizes quality in every detail. The resident’s rooftop retreat also sets the project apart with its with landscaped outdoor sky terrace, gym, heated pool and communal entertaining kitchen complete with lounge and dining rooms.

Project handed over 6 weeks early.

Utilising the Sync Building System for the bathroom construction removed bathrooms from the critical path and compressed project duration. Rationalising bathroom types also offered improved floorplans, and Sync’s cost effective, quality assured production process enabled specification of higher grade finishes at no extra cost to the developer.

Reengineering the central gold band during construction to utilise fabricated aluminium rather than a traditional composite panel enabled buildability and access advantages. This meant feature façade work could be completed without requiring external access – when the tower crane was recovered, the gold façade was easily installed with a small crawler crane.
